PINPOINT TAYLOR KO’S “TITERE”

By WBCboxing.com

World Boxing Council Super lightweight Silver champion  Josh Taylor, successfully defended his crown by knocking out former Mexican world champion, Miguel “Títere” Vázquez, in the ninth round,  at the Royal Highland Center in Edinburgh, Scotland.

A blasting right hook to the body buckled Vázquez, handing him the first KO loss of his career. As the Referee counted him out, the crowd erupted in jubilation for their hero Taylor.

To earn this opportunity, Vázquez had won three straight bouts, after a points defeat he against Argenis Méndez, in October 2014. While Taylor had come from beating undefeated Ohara Davis, to win the Silver WBC  title.
