DAVAO CITY – Mike “Magic” Plania (25W-1L-0D, 12 KOs) of Gen. Santos City is ready to fight again in the United States.
“I’m 90 percent ready to fight again,” said the 24-year-old Plania.
Plania arrived last week together with World Boxing Council World bantamweight champion Reymart “Assassin” Gaballo (24W-0L, 20 KOs), lightweight Romero “Ruthless” Duno (22W-2L-0D, 17 KOs), and super featherweight John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde (24W-4L-0D, 13 KOs).
“Ayos lang, reduce na (All right, reduce that),” said Plania, whose opponent has yet to be identified.
He is currently sparring with Gaballo.
“Insayo na me pud unya, ningkamot pa lagi (We practice then, still trying),” said Plania.
Plania is currently rated no. 2 in the World Boxing Organization and no. 7 in the World Boxing Association.
In his last fight in the US, Plania scored a majority decision against Joshua Greer Jr. after decking the American in rounds 1 and 6 last July 16, 2020, at The Bubble in MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
