Plania to fight in US July 26

DAVAO CITY – Bantamweight protégé Mike “Magic” Plania of General Santos City will be back in action as he fights in the US on July 26 against a yet to be announced opponent.

The 22-year old Plania (20W-L1-0D, 11KO) knockout Nicong “The Destroyer” Calamba of Butuan City in the 2nd round last April 30, 2019 in General Santos City.

He also beat Juan Antonio “The Wolf” Lopez of US by a unanimous decision last Jan. 13 in Los Angeles.

“My eyes are only focused on one goal and that is to add my name to the Filipino world champions,” said Plania. This is another golden opportunity not to be missed according to Plania. “I am always grinding in the gym and will do everything to bring pride to my country and my team”, said Plania.

For Sanman Chief Executive Officer Jim Claude Manangquil, “a win for Plania would mean he is ripe enough for a world title shot”.“

He needs to win this one in order to get closer to becoming a world champion”, said Plania.

Manangquil believes on Plania’s potential and that he works so hard in the gym.
