Dustin Poirier doesn’t seem happy with the UFC these days. The number three ranked lightweight contender took so social media to issue an ultimatum, after feeling disrespected by the organization.

The 30-year-old says he won’t be competing unless they offer him a fight against the two other fighters ranked above him, or they give him a better contract.

It’s gotta be Tony or Conor or we redo my contract. Otherwise I’m not fighting. This company is #1 bullshit6,30912:10 PM – Jan 30, 2019 · Coconut Creek, FLTwitter Ads info and privacy1,204 people are talking about this

When asked about the fighter ranked just below him at #4, Poirier said he’s sticking to his ultimatum.

With all do respect to him and his team the answer is no. Unless we make a different deal with the UFCTravis balster@Travisbalster2Replying to @DustinPoirierWhat about @ALIAQUINTA?78612:13 PM – Jan 30, 2019 · Coconut Creek, FLTwitter Ads info and privacy85 people are talking about this

Poirier’s last disclosed pay was $85,000 to win and $85,000 to show against Justin Gaethje. His purse from the last bout against Eddie Alvarez wasn’t made public, but it has likely bumped up a bit after that victory.

Poirier is unbeaten in his last 5 fights and 8-1 (1NC) overall since moving up to lightweight. This streak includes grueling wars and impressive stoppages against the likes of Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez and Anthony Pettis that shot him up the rankings.

He’s made a name for himself not just as a top contender in the division, but also as one of the most violent and entertaining fighters in the entire roster. Poirier has headlined UFC cards on his last three bouts.
