This weekend, Shawn Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOs) defeated former world champion Andre Berto (31-5, 24 KOs) with a TKO in the ninth, earning the right to challenge WBC welterweight champion Keith Thurman.
At 1:31 of round 9, Porter masterfully completed his work and scored a convincing victory at the Barclays Center. Now, Porter will have a rematch bout with Keith Thurman, whom he faced in 2016, but lost to by decision.
Thurman comes from defeating Danny Garcia, snatching from him the welterweight championship of the World Boxing Council.
