While Naoya Inoue, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Josh Taylor, and Ivan Baranchyk gear up for a May 18th Glasgow card that may or may not exist, their opponents may be decided on April 27th, according to Donaire promoter Richard Schaefer of Ringstar Sports.

The Ring’s Mike Coppinger mentioned Tete-Donaire happening in L.A. two weeks ago, though its expected co-feature got shunted to Glasgow.

Prograis (23-0, 19 KO) had been intent on staging his semifinal bout in his native New Orleans, but the 27th conflicts with JazzFes and is apparently the earliest date Relikh (23-2, 19 KO) is willing to fight. “Rougarou” has also expressed dissatisfaction with the lengthy delay between the quarterfinals and the semis, so I’d take a “wait-and-see” approach to this one.

Prograis dominated Terry Flanagan in his first tournament bout, while Relikh defeated Eduard Troyanovsky in a competitive battle. Tete (28-3, 21 KO) won a chippy bout with Misha Aloyan last October in which both men lost a point for holding. Donaire (39-5, 25 KO), meanwhile, scored the Super Series’ biggest upset in bizarre fashion when Ryan Burnett injured his back in the fourth round.
