Premier Boxing Champions returns tonight with a card from Minneapolis, headlined by a super middleweight fight between Peter Quillin and Caleb Truax.
Live coverage starts with the prelim bouts on FS2 at 8 pm ET, and continues on FS1 for the main card at 10 pm ET.
Quillin (34-1-1, 23 KO) is a former middleweight titleholder whose career ran into a wall in the form of Daniel Jacobs in Dec. 2015, with Jacobs stopping him in just 85 seconds. The Brooklyn fighter was out of boxing for just under two years, and has fought just two times since the loss.
Truax (30-4-2, 19 KO) is a former super middleweight titleholder, going to England to upset James DeGale in Dec. 2017. He would lose the belt back to DeGale in a rematch in April 2018.
If either of these guys want to stay in the mix at 168 right now, this is a must-win fight, plain and simple.
The FS1 portion of the card will also feature an IBF middleweight title eliminator between Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-1, 10 KO) and Jack Culcay (25-3, 13 KO), plus 19-year-old junior middleweight prospect Joey Spencer (6-0, 6 KO) in against Osias Vasquez (4-2, 0 KO).
On FS2, we’ll see lightweight Chris Colbert (10-0, 3 KO) take on Mario Briones (29-8-2, 21 KO), as well as welterweight Jose Miguel Borrego (14-2, 13 KO) against Hector Ambriz Suarez (12-9-2, 6 KO).
