Rafael dos Anjos would love to take on Georges St-Pierre in a lightweight title fight, if the former welterweight champion can make the drop.
Rumor has it Georges St-Pierre would like to make a return to the Octagon. Even though nothing is certain yet, the UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, told Combate he would love to take on the former welterweight champion.
Provided, of course, that he can make 155 pounds.
“Of course I would accept that fight. I’m a big fan of Georges St-Pierre. It would be great to fight an idol of mine. It would be a great challenge. And it would bring a lot of money, too. But that’s only if he can make 155 pounds, of course. I’ll be here with my belt.”
Before he thinks about superfights, Rafael dos Anjos will have his hands full when he makes his second title defense against Eddie Alvarez, at UFC Fight Night 90, on July 7, in Las Vegas. In the night’s co-main main event, heavyweights Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis will collide.
