When “The Iron Lady” makes her return to action, it’s Raquel Pennington that will be waiting for her.

Promotion officials announced Thursday that Pennington will fight Germaine de Randamie at UFC Denver on Nov. 10. This will mark de Randamie’s first appearance in the Octagon since defeatingHolly Holm to become the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight champion in February of last year.

Since that time, de Randamie (7-3) has been on the sidelines for various reasons. She balked at defending her title against Cris Cyborg, citing the Brazilian having failed a drug test in the past, which led to the UFC eventually stripping her of the belt, and her return to bantamweight has beenplagued by health problems.

De Randamie was booked to fight Marion Reneau last September and Ketlen Vieira in February — both times, injuries forced her to withdraw.

Pennington (9-6) saw a four-fight win streak snapped at UFC 224 this past May, losing a title fight to champion Amanda Nunes by fifth-round TKO. Prior to that, the former Ultimate Fightercontestant had picked up decision wins over the likes of former champion Miesha Tate and one-time title challenger Bethe Correia.

A pair of strawweight bouts were also announced: Ashley Yoder vs. Amanda Cooper and Maycee Barber vs. Maia Stevenson.

Yoder (5-4) is winless in three UFC appearances so far, most recently losing a split decision toMackenzie Dern, while Cooper (3-4) has alternated between wins and loses in her five UFC fights, most recently losing by first-round submission to Dern.

The 20-year-old Barber (5-0) turned heads with a third-round TKO of Jamie Colleen on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and has been vocal about her plans to become the youngest UFC champion in history. Her next step will be to pick up a win in her UFC debut against Stevenson (6-5), who won five straight fights before falling to Sijara Eubanks in the TUF 26women’s flyweight tournament and then being submitted by Ketlen Vieira in February.

UFC Fight Night 139 is scheduled for Nov. 10 at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Featherweightcontenders Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung will fight in the main event.
