Ray Moylette Mayo Homecoming Undercard Fills Up

Irish-boxing.com

The undercard for Ray Moylette‘s big Mayo Homecoming next month is really filling up with the announcement of a number of fighters in recent days.

The Islandeady lightweight faces Mexican Christian Uruzquieta for the WBC International rankings belt at the Royal Theater in Castlebar on Friday December 7th and the first fighters announced for the undercard were Spike O’Sullivan, Luis Garcia, and Niall O’Connor.

Since then, many more have been added to the show out west – including a six round light middleweight clash between Graham McCormack [3(0)-0] and Jade Karam [9(4)-9(4)-2].

Making debuts on the bill will be Belfast bantamweight Ruadhan Farrell and Sligo welter Aaron Gethins.

Keeping busy on the card will be Cavan light middle Owen Duffy [2(1)-0] and Swords heavyweight Paddy Nevin[1(0)-0], both of whom boxed on the Assassin ‘Rise Again’ show in Tallaght last month.

Also featuring will be Dublin cruiser Johnny Corcoran [1(1)-0] who is, hopefully, back after 18 months out having seen a fight on the Rise Again card fall through at the last minute.

Having gained Irish title eligibility last week in Mexico, Waterford welter Dylan Moran [7(5)-0] will be back out again in Mayo as he looks to prime himself for a shot at a belt.

Also confirmed is BUI Celtic light welterweight champion Victor Rabei [5(1)-0] who, following an injured hand, returns to the ring for the first time since winning the belt back in July.

It is understood that the card, now comprising of 12 fights, is not finalised and that there will be more announcements over the coming week.
