Favorite son of New Orleans  WBC super lightweight and Diamond Champion Regis Prograis (22-0, 19 KOs), accompanied by his trainer Bobby Benton, took a break from his training camp in Houston to meet with the media of New Orleans.

Prograis offered a  training  session at the New Orleans Boxing Club, showing that he is in great condition for his next commitment.

Prograis returns to New Orleans on Saturday, October 27, in a 12-round matchup against former world champion Terry Flanagan (33-1, 13 KOs), from Manchester, United Kingdom, in the first round of the World Boxing Super Series.

On July 14, Prograis fought in his hometown of New Orleans, landing a sensational knockout victory in the eighth round against Juan Jose Velasco at Lakefront Arena.

After capturing everyones` attention with a captivating workout, Regis said:

“It was very important to come back and fight here at home, I definitely want to keep highlighting New Orleans as a  great boxing city, not only for me but for all the local fighters. My training camp has been very hard so  I feel in excellent shape, aiming for another win.”

“For this fight, I started training about two weeks before last time. Right after my fight in New Orleans in July, I went to Moscow for the World Boxing Super Series gala match ups where I chose Terry Flanagan to fight with me in the first round. He is a hard former world champion that I’m sure will give me a great fight. ”

“My goal now is to be like a beloved son of New Orleans, like the Pelicans or the Saints.  I saw the reception Drew Brees got after he broke the NFL career record of most  passing yards.

“I was a little nervous when I fought at home in New Orleans for the first time in July, but I have already have this experience, so this time it will be a different match, and fun for me.”
