A key featherweight fight between Renato Moicano and Mirsad Bektic has been added to UFC 231in Toronto.
UFC officials confirmed the bout on Wednesday. Combate first reported the match-up.
Moicano (13-1-1) is coming off a first-round submission win over Cub Swanson at UFC 227 in August. Prior this win, the Brazilian outpointed Calvin Kattar en route to a decision win at UFC 223 in April. This got Moicano back into the win column after coming up short to current number one contender Brian Ortega in their Fight of the Night at UFC 214.
Bektic (13-1) was last seen earning a narrow split decision win over former title challenger Ricardo Lamas at UFC 225 June. Prior to this performance, Bektic steamrolled through Godofredo Pepeywith a violent first-round TKO at UFC on Fox 27, earning him his first Performance of the Night bonus.
