Renato Moicano is one of the featherweight division’s top contenders, and he’ll have to get past a former title challenger to continue his championship hunt.
Officials announced Wednesday that Moicano will fight “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the main event of UFC Greenville on June 22. Combate was first to report the matchup.
Moicano (13-2-1) was last seen challenging former two-time UFC champion Jose Aldo in February. He lost by second-round TKO, a result that snapped a two-fight win streak. In seven UFC appearances, Moicano holds notables wins over Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens.
Jung last fought in a five-round thriller against Yair Rodriguez at UFC Denver, a non-stop action bout that ended in Jung being knocked out with one second remaining in the fight. He is 4-2 in his last six fights dating back to March 2011.
UFC Greenville will take place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, and the main card will air live on ESPN+.
