Japan Super Welterweight National Champion Hironobu Matsunaga (17-1, 11 KO’s) of Yokohama successfully defended his belt by overpowering mandatory Kisarazu challenger Yuto Shimizu (14-5-2, 5 KO’s) in a 7th round TKO Saturday at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan
The rough end unfolded at the 2 minutes, 24 seconds mark in chapter seven, halted by referee Kazutoshi Yoshida as the stronger, more skilled Matsunaga was clearly dominating the war.
The show was a production of promoter Mr. Ichitaro Ishii’s Yokohama Hikari Promotions.
