At the Acapulco Convention Center, local idol Marcos Villasana Jr.(21-6, 12 KOs) brilliantly retained his World Boxing Council lightweight international championship by knocking out Argentinian Jorge Luis “Pelado” Rodríguez (21-13-1, 3 KOs) in eight rounds at an event organized by Promociones del Pueblo and Broadcast by Televisa Deportes.
Also, Lourdes “Pequeña Lulu” Juarez (18-2, 3 KOs) beat American Noemí Bosques (11-9-2, 2 KOs) in the sixth round after sending her twice to the canvas and Aaron Alameda (18-0, 10 KOs) remains undefeated to get a win over Daniel “Rayito” Olea (11-4-1, 4 KOs) by eight round split decision.
