REY VARGAS FIGHTS FOR MEXICO ON TELEVISA

Mexican Rey Vargas and Brit Gavin McDonell will contest the vacant World Boxing Council super bantamweight title  on  February 25th at the Ice Arena in Yorkshire, England, in a thriller that can be seen throughout Mexico, via Televisa Deportes.

Vargas, at 26, owns an unbeaten record of 28-0 with 80% knockout ratio; Has dominated the division, accumulating the International WBC title that has placed him as a favorite to conquer the crown in what will be the start of the season for the traditional “SABADOS DE BOX” by TELEVISA.

McDonell aged thirty, from Yorkshire, Has built  an excellent unbeaten record of 16 wins, with four knockouts and two draws conquering the titles of EBU and the silver WBC belt at 122 pounds,
The disciple of Don Nacho Beristáin who is ranked number one and mandatory challenger to the green and gold crown now faces the highest classified available, as McDonell is number two ranked.

On that same evening, Jairo “Doberman” López seeks to dethrone Silver champion in the lightweight division and previously Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell.This is another bumper match between Mexico and England.
