Unbeaten World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion, Rey Vargas, says he’s honored to be part of the card on December 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he will defend his belt against unbeaten “Jaguar” Negrete.

“it’s going to be an excellent card, I have to fight against an undefeated rival again, a great match. It’s going to be a very good fight. I’m defending my world title, do not miss it, December 2 on Mexico´s Channel 5.
“It’s also going to be a bittersweet historic moment , because it will be the first time that we are going to be in the Garden but it will be during Cotto’s farewell…it is hard to say good bye to such legend.”
