Boston Salmon has a new opponent for UFC Sao Paulo.

With Augusto Mendes sidelined due to an injury, “Boom Boom” will now take on RFA featherweight champion Raoni Barcelos in a bantamweight bout in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Oct. 28. MMA Fighting confirmed the match-up following a report by Combate.

Barcelos (11-1) enters the Octagon for the first time riding a four-fight winning streak, which includes winning and defending the RFA 145-pound title. Barcelos fought for the last time exactly a year before UFC Sao Paulo, finishing Dan Moret at RFA 45.

Salmon (6-1) signed with the UFC after defeating Ricky Turcios via unanimous decision on the first edition of Dana White’s Contender Series in July. Salmon also competed under the RFA banner, winning five of six bouts between 2014 and 2016.

UFC Fight Night 119 takes place at the Ibirapuera gymnasium and features Derek Brunson vs. Lyoto Machida in the main event.
