An exciting bantamweight bout is now off of UFC Denver.
Rising sensations Ricardo Ramos and Ricky Simon were booked to meet at the Nov. 10 card in Denver, Colo., but the Brazilian talent has been forced out of the event with a hand injury that likely requires surgery, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.
It’s still unclear if Simon will remain on the UFC Denver card.
Ramos (12-1) was looking to go 4-0 in the Octagon following wins over Kyung Ho Kang, Michinori Tanaka between and Aiemann Zahabi.
Simon (14-1) is also undefeated in the UFC with a pair of victories against Merab Dvalishvili andMontel Jackson.
UFC Denver takes place at the Pepsi Center in Denver and features a featherweight bout between former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and former 145-pound contender “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the main event.
