Thailand’s biggest mixed martial arts stars will return to action in their hometown when ONE Championship arrives in Bangkok on 16 February.
At ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS, Rika “TinyDoll” Ishige (4-2) will face Nou Srey Pov in a women’s atomweight contest before Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai (9-3) meets “Ares” Tae Kyun Kim (4-0) in a lightweight bout.
Ishige, a representative of Tiger Muay Thai and Bangkok Fight Lab, will make her first appearance since her rousing defeat of Bozhena Antoniyar at ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES in October.
The TKO win was the fourth stoppage of the 29-year-old’s career and kept her 100 percent finishing rate alive.
Her opponent will make her mixed martial arts debut, but the Cambodian Top Team product has a wealth of experience in her country’s national sport.
Srey Pov is a Kun Khmer World Champion with a 91-8-2 record in the martial art, so the native of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is unlikely to be overawed by competing on the big stage.
Wiratchai will make his first appearance of 2019 with the aim of propelling himself up towards the top level of ONE’s lightweight division.
“OneShin” has never failed to finish his opponents when he has competed in Bangkok under the banner of The Home Of Martial Arts.
He will meet one of the most talented undefeated mixed martial artists in South Korea, who has a 75 percent stoppage rate.
The 24-year-old multiple-time national judo champion competes out of Monster House and Top Gym BF, and will make his debut on the global stage for martial arts.
Eight other bouts have also been confirmed for ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS, including the main event, which will see the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Title match between Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Han Zi Hao.
More match-ups will be announced soon.
