Riku to defend Japanese title

UNDEFEATED Kazuto Takesako of Tokyo will defend his Japanese middleweight title against Riku Kunimoto of Osaka on May 19 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Kazuto, who is also the OPBF middleweight champion, retained the crown by retiring Shuji Kato in the 8th round last Aug. 3, 2019 at Korakuen.

He last defended the OPBF title by a unanimous decision over Shinobu Charlie Hosokawa last Jan. 18, 2029 at Korakuen.

Riko, on the other hand, scored a 6th round TKO over Shoma Fukumoto last April 5, 2019.

Riku, an orthodox is undefeated with four wins and two knockouts.

The bubble boxing event is promoted by Tatsuya Saida of World Sports Promotions.
