Ring Telmex-Telcel 10th Anniversary Gala fighters are “Slim” fit

The stars of the Gala for the 10th Anniversary of the Ring Telmex Foundation – Telcel offered brisk and entertaining open media workouts,  at the foot of the elegant Soumaya Museum, in Mexico City, in the countdown to the fight fiesta this Saturday at the Gran Teatro Moliere.

The event was attended by Carlos Slim Domit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Telmex; Arturo Elías Ayub, General Director of the Telmex Foundation and Rogelio Herrera Echáuri, Director of the Ring Telmex- Telcel Foundation.

In the main event of the extravaganza  presented by Promociones Del Pueblo, Mexican Ibeth ‘Guerrera Otomí’ Zamora, Vs Melissa of the United States for the vacant WBC female flyweight championship.  Zamora and McMorrow showed plenty of fire and brimstone in their workouts.

Then meek but mighty KO puncher and top prospect Eduardo “Rocky” Hernández who defends his WBC super featherweight Youth World title against former world champion Drian Francisco of the Philippines. Eduardo showed ample yet controlled power in his sweatfest.

Also, former world champion Julio “Pollito” Ceja defends the WBC silver Super Bantamweight belt versus the dangerous Franklin Manzanilla. “Pollito” battered the mitts, displaying his sizzling skills. While the South American left no doubt bout his thunderous punch with which he has dispatched  16 opponents via knockouts in 17 victories.

Lourdes “Pequeño Lulú” Juarez will clash with Jaky Calvo  for the second time on their careers, but this time the fight will give the winner the opportunity to contest the female flyweight title. Mexican Olympians Misael “El Chino” Rodríguez, Juan Pablo “Pivi” Romero and Elías “Tigre de Zitlala” Emigdio will also all be in action.
