Xiaomi ROAD FC 35 on 10 December in Seoul, South Korea lands a title fight between current ROAD FC Middleweight Champion Cha Jung-Hwan and top challenger “Ryo” Choi Young.

Although ROAD FC Middleweight Champion Cha Jung-Hwan made his career fighting in the Welterweight division – with knockouts over such stellar opponents as Ryo Chonan and Igor Gracie – he made the decision to move to Middleweight to challenge ROAD FC Champion Riki Fukuda. In that challenge, Cha made history – he became the first to KO Fukuda in 10 years, and in doing so proudly claimed the ROAD FC belt.

Choi Young, known as “Ryo” for the majority of his MMA career, is one of Korea’s first generation of Mixed Martial Artists. From his 2004 victory over “Stun Gun” Kim Dong-Hyun in Spirit MC, Choi made his way through K-1’s HERO’S then became a staple of DEEP. In his ROAD FC debut, Choi met fellow Korean MMA legend Yoon Dong-Sik and finished him with a beautiful right counter. Wildly overjoyed at his victory, Choi said, “I want to look at winning the ROAD FC Championship belt!”
