At 32, World Boxing Council fly champion Ibeth “Roca” Zamora has overcome multiple obstacles in her life. This Saturday she will fulfill one of her greatest goals: fighting in the United States, as she will be defending her green and gold belt for the third time against a difficult rival, Olympic medalist Marlene Esparza, in El Paso, Texas.
The champion who comes from having a hard training camp to avoid surprises commented: “We have not stopped training since the beginning of the year and we are doing well towards this important title defense. I have followed Marlene Esparza since she debuted as a professional fighter. It is a complicated fight, but it is also an opportunity to make my way through the United States. ”
