Rodriguez decisions Quijano again

Mexican super flyweight Ricardo “Meserito” Rodriguez (15-3, 4 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over Puerto Rico’s David Quijano (16-7-1, 9 KOs) in a ten-round rematch for Rodriguez’ WBO Latin jr. bantamweight title on Friday night at the Palm Bay Community Center in Palm Bay, Florida. Scores were 98-92, 99-91, 98-92. Rodriguez previously defeated Quijano by UD in June.

A bantamweight clash between Joebert “Little Pac Man” Alvarez and Edwin “Puto” Rodriguez was cancelled at the last minute. “Joebert got food poisoning and was throwing up,” promoter Tuto Zabala told Fightnews.com. “The Commision doctor didn’t allow him to fight.”
