Ronda Rousey’s main priority as of the moment is to win back the UFC women’s bantamweight title she held for more than two years.
Ronda Rousey may be in the sidelines as of the moment, but her apparent desire to win back the UFC women’s bantamweight title is at an all-time high.
Speaking at a Q&A session in a recent conference hosted by news anchor Robin Roberts, “Rowdy” had one brief response when asked about the one thing she wanted to do, but has not done yet.
“I want to win my belt back,” Rousey said.
The timetable for Rousey’s comeback remains in limbo as of the moment, but as promised by UFC president Dana White, she is guaranteed an immediate title shot upon her return. Last Saturday night, a new champion was crowned, when Amanda Nunesstopped Miesha Tate in the first round of their main event fight at UFC 200.
Rousey has yet to express her thoughts on facing Nunes, but as far as her current mindset goes, she once again reverted back to one of her mother’s words of advice when she lost a match during the Junior Nationals as an active judo competitor.
“My mom, she pulled me to the side of the mat and she’s like ‘I’m going to tell you what my coach told me. He said winning’s a b-tch, but revenge is a motherf—-r!’”
