ROSLIE CAPTURES PAT FEMALE INT’L FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE IN BANGKOK

SINGAPORE’S Nurshahidah “The Sniper” Roslie landed solid punches to score a 6th round technical knockout against Sumanthar Baenkham of Thailand and captured the vacant Profesional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT) Female International featherweight title at the RAM 100 Thai Boxing Stadium in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok.
The 30-year old Roslie showed her dominance since the start of the 8-round championship fight promoted by
Roslie improved her record to 8 wins with 6 knockouts against only 1 loss and no draw. It was a rematch of a fight first held last April 8 at the Foochow Building in Singapore wherein Roslie also stopped Baenkham via a 2nd round TKO.
Baenkham, only 17 years old, now has three wins and four losses.
Roslie previously pummeled to submission another Thai Siriphon Chanbuala via a 3rd round TKO last September 23 at the Le Danz Ballroom in Singapore to capture the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council female featherweight title and also retain the interim OPBF female featherweight crown.
Meanwhile, fast rising Chinese female fighter Sandy Lam from DEF Boxing Stable of Hong Kong stopped Thailand’s Suttthinee Bamrungpao via a technical knockout in Round 3 of a scheduled 6-rounder.
Lam, a 25-year old light flyweight managed by Hong Kong’s No. 1 promoter Jay Lau, improved her record to 3 wins with 1 knockout against only 1 loss and no draw while Bamrungpao dipped to a 2W-3L-0D record.
The boxing card was promoted by Supanat Chanram and Brico Santig of Highland International Boxing Promotions.
