RUNGVISAI IS WBC BOXER OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER

WORLD Boxing Council (WBC) World super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai of Thailand is the WBC Boxer of the Month for September.
He earned it for successfully defending his title against former champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzales of Nicaragua by a 4th round knockout last Sept. 9 at the StubHub Center in Carson, USA.
Gonzales was downed twice in the fourth round of their 12-round rematch.
The 30-year old Rungvisai dethroned Gonzales via a majority decision last March 18 at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Gonzales was down in the opening round while Rungvisai was deducted one point in the 6th round for headbutting.
Rungvisai now has a total of 44 wins with 40 knockouts against only four losses and one draw while 30-year old Gonzales dropped to 46-2-0, 38 KOs.
