22-year-old Mexican-American rising star Ryan Garcia — the fighter who prescribed a fast ‘n furious round 1 KO to Filipino Romero Duno — will battle tough Briton former 2-time world-title challenger Luke Campbell.
According to the WBC, the hot 135-pound rumble will unfold this November at a TBA venue live on DAZN.
In his last fight last February, the hard-hitting Ryan García (20-0, 17 KO’s) stopped Nicaraguan Knock Out Artist Francisco Fonseca (26-3-2, 20KO’s) in less than 3 minutes at the Honda Center in California USA, continuing forward his path of lightweight destruction.
However, for most fans, 32-year-old warrior-heart Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KO’s) — who packs more class than Duno and Fonseca — should be a much tougher opponent for the hugely popular Mexican-American. Fans will find out in November.
García is currently promoted by Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. Last September, he extended his contract with de la Hoya to a new five-year deal.
