At the Star City Hotel & Casino in Sydney, Australia, former World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Sakio Bika (34-7-3, 22 KOs) defeated Serbian Geard Ajetovic (31-16 -1, 16 KOs) by UD to capture the vacant WBC International Silver title.
Bika, was docked two points due to low blows. However, he had clear advantage throughout the fight, imposing and applying his greater experience and better boxing skills.
It was Bika’s second win in a row since he return to the ring in July, when he had a TKO victory over Luke Sharp. The veteran had been out of the ring since April 2015, after unsuccessfully challenging WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson.
In another compelling bout, legend’s son, super welterweight prospect Tim Tszyu (7-0, 5 KOs) won a ten-round unanimous decision over durable Wade Ryan (14-6, 3 KOs) to win the vacant ABCO super welterweight title, endorsed by the WBC.
