Undefeated French prospect Salahdine Parnasse will get his first chance at claiming KSW gold when he faces Roman Szymanski at KSW 48 in Lublin, Poland on Apr. 27 for the featherweight interim title.

KSW announced the fight through its social media feeds Friday.

At just 21 years old, Parnasse (12-0-1) is considered to be one of the most outstanding prospects on the European scene and was listed as one of MMA Fighting’s top up and comers in the region for 2018. He has won all three of his tests under the KSW banner to date.

In his sophomore outing with the Polish promotion, he outclassed former champion Artur Sowinski on route to claiming a unanimous decision win. He saw off another former promotional champion and TUF veteran Marcin Wrzosek in his last outing.

Szymanski (11-4-0) scored a unanimous decision win over Daniel Torres in his last appearance at KSW 46. He shares a common opponent with Parnasse in Wrzosek, but “The Polish Zombie” managed to score a decision win over the 25-year-old when they collided at KSW 41.

The loss to Wrzosek marks the only loss Szymanski has suffered with KSW. He currently boasts a 3-1 record with the promotion with his wins coming against Torres, Denilson Neves and Sebastian Romanowski.

Double champion, Mateusz Gamrot, holds KSW’s undisputed featherweight title.

KSW also announced that Polish light heavyweight Lukasz Jurkowski (16-11-0) will face Stjepan Bekavac (19-9-0) at the event.
