SALUDAR BROTHERS BEAT RIVALS

THE fighting Saludar brothers Froilan and Vic of Polomolok, South Cotabato scored contrasting wins last August 30 at the Barangay Bulua covered court in Cagayan de Oro City.
Froilan alias “The Sniper” landed a solid body shot to knockout John Rey Lauza in the fourth round of the main event promoted by Kenneth Rontal.
The 28-year old Froilan, a former WBO Inter-Continental flyweight champion improved his record to 25 wins against two losses and one draw. Lauza dropped to 13W-15L-4D.
The 26-year old Vic alias “Vicious” hit more telling blows to score a unanimous decision against Mike Kinaadman in their 8-rounder bout.
Vic, a former WBO Oriental minimumweight champion is now 15W-3L-0D while Kinaadman suffered his third defeat against six wins and six draws.
Meanwhile, WBO Asia Pacific Youth light flyweight champion Vince Paras of General Santos City connected a solid body punch on Marlou Sandoval en route to a first round knockout in the undercard.
The 18-year old Paras remained unbeaten with 12 straight wins and 10 knockouts while Sandoval dropped to 8W-5L-2D.
