GENERAL Santos City — Hardhitting Markquil Salvana of Sanman Boxing Gym used his solid body punches in stopping JP Macadumpis in just 51 seconds of the second round to capture the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title last Sunday at the T’boli Municipal Gym in T’boli, South Cotabato.

Salvana immediately went to work by landing solid body blows on Macadumpis in the opening round. Macadumpis survived the punishment but not in the second round.

Referee Rodel Garde finally stopped the fight after seeing Macadumpis continued to be hurt by Salvana’s solid combinations without even trying to defend himself.

The Salvana-Macadumpis 10-rounder was the main supporting bout of the “T’boli Thunder 2” presentation of the Sanman Promotion and the municipal government of T’boli in celebration of the 19th Seslong Festival and 43rd T’boli Founding Anniversary.
