Sampson Lewkowicz Spearheads Return of Boxing to Argentina with 4 Boxing Shows

After efforts at the organizational level and the return of pro boxing to Argentina, Sampson Boxing and Tello Box confirm 4 evenings of fights in the land of Maradona, all of them set to be televised live on Canal TyC Sports in its successful boxing series “Boxeo de Primera.”

On Saturday, November 21, at the Chess Club in La Calera, Provincia de Córdoba, unbeaten former Argentina’s super featherweight national champion José Matías Romero (in the photo), faces former National and South American lightweight champ Javier Clavero, also from Córdoba.

Then, 6 days later, on Friday, November 27, at the Sociedad Belgrano in the capital of Córdoba, rising Buenos Aires warrior Reuquén Arce battles Villamarian strong man Mayco Estadella in a hot featherweight clash.

This Arce vs Estadella battle takes place within the framework of the agreement between promoters Mario Margossián of Argentina Boxing Promotions, who guides the Arce campaign, and Sampson Leekowicz/Tello Box, handlers of Estadella.

This promotional link between Lewkowickz and Margossián for this fight is not the first one. It already unfolded for the matches of Lúques Castillo vs Pedraza, and Papeschi vs Cóceres.

In the same November 27 show, fans can expect the pro debut of “El Niño Terrible” Walter Matthysse Jr.

Matthysse was supposed to have his first pro fight weeks ago in São Paulo, Brazil, but it had to be postponed because the promising boxer and his trainer tested positive for covid-19.

In that show at the Belgrano Society will also fight tough Rio Negro super welterweight Jairo Rayman, who joined the Sampson/Tello squad of boxers.

Furthermore, on December 4, Sampson Boxing returns to the Chess Club in La Calera for the WBA women’s super bantamweight world championship war between undefeated Nazarena “Capricho” Romero and Julieta Cardozo from the Province of Jujuy.

This women’s title fight was one of the first ones to be postponed because of the pandemic. Originally, it was set to take place on March 20. God willing, it will happen on December 4.

Lewkowicz also confirms another card for December 18, also at the Sociedad Belgrano de Córdoba with two South American titles in play: the welterweight and the super lightweight.

The South American welterweight belt will be defended by Buenos Aires champion Luis Verón against countryman Alfredo Blanco. This war is another duel forged by the link between Sampson and Argentina Boxing Promotions.

In the same December 18 show, Juan José Velazco from Jujuy defends his South American super lightweight belt against an opponent yet to be revealed.

May the Best men and women win!
