Sara McMann will welcome Yana Kunitskaya to the UFC in February.
Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Sara McMann has her next challenged lined up. McMann herself broke the news on her Instagram, saying that she’ll take on Invicta FC bantamweight champion Yana Kunitskaya in Orlando, Florida.
Sara McMann (11-4) was defeated by Ketlen Vieira in September via submission in her last outing. The second-round loss snapped a three-fight winning streak, with wins over the likes ofGina Mazany, Alexis Davis, and Jessica Eye, two of which came via arm-triangle choke.
Yana Kunitskaya (10-3-1 NC) makes her UFC debut right after capturing the Invicta FC bantamweight belt in August, when she defeated Raquel Pa’aluhi via unanimous decision. Her last loss came in March of the same year, when she was submitted by fellow UFC fighter,Tonya Evinger.
UFC on FOX 28 is set for Saturday, February 24th in Orlando’s Amway Center. The card does not have an official headliner yet, but does feature a strawweight bout between Tecia Torresand Jessica Andrade, as well as middleweight contenders Yoel Romero and David branch.
