Sara McMann announces pregnancy

Baby number two is on the way for Sara McMann.

On Wednesday, the one-time women’s bantamweight title challenger announced on Instagram that she is three-months pregnant.

“I’ve been dying to tell the world,” McMann wrote. “The short story: Chad (Bingham, McMann’s partner) and I started trying after my last fight and that S.O.B. knocked me up immediately. I’m 12 weeks along!”

The 37-year-old fighter explained that the pregnancy lines up well with her needing to take time off to heal shoulder injuries she incurred in her recent bouts. She made it clear that she is not intending to retire and that she will continue training as long as possible before the child is born.

McMann’s post also features her daughter Bella (from a previous relationship) and a picture of the ultrasound, which Bingham shared on his Instagram.

McMann last fought at UFC on FOX 28 in February, where she lost via second-round submission to Marion Reneau.
