GERMAN Tom Schwarz will be defending his WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title against Syrian Samir Nebo on February 3 at the Erdgas Arena in Halle an der Saale.
They will also be fighting for the vacant Germany BDB Heavyweight crown.
The 23-year old Schwarz is still unbeaten with 19 straight wins and 12 knockouts. He previously knocked out Bosnia’s Adnan Redzovic in Round 2 last April 22 in Messehalle, Erfurt to capture the vacant WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title.
In 2015, Schwarz took the vacant WBO Youth heavyweight title via a 7th round KO win over Ilja Mezencev at the Anhalt Arena, Dessau.
Schwarz retained it by via a 1st round technical knockout against Gogita Gorgiladze on March 5, 2016 at the Home Monitoring Arena, Plzen.
Three months later, the 6-foot-5 ½ Schwarz then scored a unanimous decision against then-undefeated Dennis Lewandowski (9-0) to keep his title and also cop the vacant WBC Youth world heavyweight title.
Nebo, on the other hand, also has an impressive record of 10 wins all by knockouts and with only one loss and one draw.
Nebo is a former World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental heavyweight title-holder. He won it by knocking out in the 5th round Andrei Mazanik in 2016.
The 36-year old Nebo won his last fight via a 3rd round KO against Bolivia’s Saul Farah last July 1 at the Ballsport Arena in Dresden.
Pitted in the main supporting bout are undefeated Juergen Uldedai (7-0) and Jakub Synek (8-0-1) for German International cruiserweight title.
The boxing card is promoted by Ulf Steinforth of SES Sports Events GmbH and will be televised by Germany MDR.
