Cachanilla Promotions presents En Busca De Un Campeon 7 (In Search Of A Champion 7) on Saturday, September 9, at the Mexicali Gymnasium in Mexicali, Mexico. Topping the bill will be two World Boxing Federation (WBF) Championship fights.
In his first step up to championship class, highly touted prospect Jose Enrique Dorantes Vivas puts his undefeated record on the line when he squares off with streaking compatriot Alejandro Solis for the vacant WBF North America Featherweight title.
Dorantes Vivas turned professional in November of 2014, and has since compiled an unblemished 12-0 (7) record. Solis entered the paid ranks in January 2013 and brings a more modest 8-3-1 (5) ledger, but has won his last five outings convincingly.
The co-featured bout is a genuine battle for local supremacy and plenty of bragging rights, as Mexicali warriors Edgar “El Ciclon” Ortega, 6-1-1 (2), and Andres “Maravilla” Tapia, 11-6-2 (4), collides to decide the vacant WBF Mexico Super Bantamweight title.
In what could easily be “Fight Of The Night”, both boxers are brimming with confidence, each coming off two victories, and both will be very motivated entering their first opportunity to win a title in the pros. This one is almost certainly going to give the fans their moneys worth.
