Seigo TKOs Taku in 10th round

Flyweight Seigo Yuri Akui of Kurashiki, Okayama stopped Taku Kuwahara of Osaka in the 10th and final round last July 21 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

It was the third defense of the 25-year-old Seigo, who improved to 16 wins against two defeats and one draw.

Tako, 26, on the other hand, suffered his first defeat after eight wins.

Meanwhile, bantamweight Masayoshi Hashizume scored a technical knockout in the 8th and final round over Yoshiki Minatoer in the main supporting bout.

The bubble boxing promoter was Hideyuki Ohashi of Phoenix Promotions.
