Seigo to defend against Taku on July 21

Japanese flyweight champion Seigo Yuri Akui of Kurashiki will defend his title against undefeated Taku Kuwahara of Osaka on July 21 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

It will be the second defense of Seigo, who won the vacant title against Shun Kosaka via a TKO in the 1st round last Oct. 27. 2019 at Amakusa Park Gym in Asakuchi, Japan.

Seigo (15W-2L-1D, 10KOs) recently defended it successfully to Seiya Fujikita by a unanimous decision last Oct. 18, 2020, in Asakuchi.

Taku (8W-0L-0D, 4KOs), on the other hand, recently beat Yoshiki Minato by a UD last March 11, 2021, at Korakuen Hall.

Hideyuki Ohashi of Phoenix Promotions is promoting the bubble boxing event.
