Sergio Garcia says he`s evolved from a Spanish boxing prospect to one of the best fighters in the super welterweight division.
On September 22 he took a significantly important step towards the world title, which is in the iron grip of American Jermell Charlo, by defeating Italian Felice Moncelli.
From the first round, Sergió showed his skill and ability, controlling the distance at all times. Moncelli tried to get into the fray, throwing bombs punches which singularly failed to reach their destination target.
Despite the Italian’s bravery, he was unable to sustain the pace of the fight, which ended before the eighth round.
With this important victory, Sergio “Niño” García improved his undefeated record to 25 wins and 13 KOs, while Felice Moncelli slips to 17-5-1.
