Shafikov beats Suarez, Bohachuk still unbeaten

Three-time former IBF lightweight world title challenger Denis Shafikov (39-4-1, 20 KOs) hammered out an eight round unanimous decision over Hector “El Estudiante” Suarez (12-7-1, 6 KOs) on Wednesday night at The Avalon in Hollywood, CA. Scores were 80-72, 77-75, 79-73. Shafikov, who was coming off two consecutive losses, was in command all the way.

Also, unbeaten junior middleweight Serhii “El Flaco” Bohachuk, (9-0, 9 KOs) made quick work of late sub Cesar Berumen (26-38-3, 16 KOs). After two knockdowns in round one and another in round two, the carnage was mercifully halted.
