January 18th’s Friday feature on ESPN+, headlined by heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings against Dominican Olympian Oscar Rivas, will feature a heap of Top Rank’s best prospects on the undercard, led by 2016 Olympic silver medalist Shakur Stevenson against Jessie Cris Rosales.
Admittedly, nobody’s in tough, but the roster includes Carlos Adames, two Rio gold medalists in Robson Conceicao and Fazliddin Gaibnazarov, heavyweight Cassius Chaney, and the pro debut of recent signee Vikas Krishan. Jason Sosa will appear as well, fighting 17-18-2 Moises Delgallido in a squash match that seems wholly inappropriate for a recent world champion.
Stevenson (9-0, 5 KO) impressed against his biggest name to date in Viorel Simion, whom he thrashed in a single round this past October on the Terence Crawford-Jose Benavidez card. Rosales (22-1-1, 10 KO), not to be confused with recently deposed flyweight champ Cristofer Rosales, was stopped in two by Jhonny Gonzalez in his only notable fight to date.
