SHIGEOKA VS VALLADARES 2 SET FOR OCTOBER 7 IN OSAKA, JAPAN.
Japanese IBF Minimumweight interim belt-holder Ginjiro Shigeoka 重岡銀次朗 (9-0, 7 KO’s) has been forced to pull out of his scheduled August 11 rematch against IBF regular champ Daniel Valladares of Mexico due to an injury in his leg suffered by the Japanese while training.
The new date for the rematch has been set for Saturday, October 7, at the Edion Arena in Osaka, the same venue of their troubled first encounter.
Boxing fans still wonder if referee Chris Flores was too soft and too lenient with the Mexican during the first Shigeoka vs Valladares fight last January, leading to the controversial No-Contest result for their title fight?
