Shiro defends WBC title against “Baby” Juarez

This Wednesday, in Japan, an end-of-year card was officially announced on December 30 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, and will be televised by Fuji TV.
World Boxing Council flyweight champion Ken Shiro (14-0, 8 KOs) will defend his crown against tough Mexican Saul “Baby” Juarez (24-8-2, 13). The “Smiling Assassin”, as the Japanese media call it, has had a great 2018, which already includes victories over Ganigan Lopez and Milan Melindo, and to win this fight is heading to be recognized as the Japanese boxer of the year.
For Juarez this will be his second chance for the world crown, since in 2016 he disputed the minimum title to the Thai champion Wanheng Menayothin, being defeated by decision.
