On December 30 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, televised by Fuji TV, World Boxing Council flyweight champion, Ken Shiro (14-0, 8 KOs), will defend his crown against Saul “Baby” Juarez (24-8-2, 13).
The “Smiling Killer”, as the Japanese media dub him, has had a great 2018, which includes victories over Ganigan Lopez and Milan Melindo. With another victory , he will be considered the best Japanese fighter of the year.
For Juarez this will be his second chance for the world crown, since in 2016 he fought for the minimumweight versus Thai champion Wanheng Menayothin, being defeated by decision.
