Edsil Jungco of Iloilo to beat by a unanimous decision and win the vacant
Philippine Boxing Federation middleweight title last night (Aug. 3) in the
“Showdown in Mandaluyong” card in Brgy. Vergara Covered Court in
Mandaluyong.The 27-year old Singh landed more punches to Jungco to
down him once in the 8th round.Singh alias “Punjabi Lion” scored his 8th
win with 7 knockouts against 4 loss and 1 draw. Jungco, 33 alias “Toto”
suffered his 13th loss against 2 wins and 7 draws.Meanwhile,
minimumweight Jonathan Almacen of Muntinlupa TKO’d Benjie Bartolome
