CURRENT Asian Boxing Council (ABC) super welterweight champion Rachai Sithsaithong of Thailand is the ABC Boxer of the Month for June.
Sithsaithong , also known as Niwat Kongkan (8-3-0, 6 KOs) earned the award for also capturing the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super welterweight title by stopping Yutaka Oishi via a 12th round technical knockout last April 22, 207 at the EDION Arena in Osaka, Japan.
The 32-year old Thai is slated to defend his title on July 30 against Jumbo Oda Nobunaga Shoten Petagine (10-4-0) at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka.
ABC Chairman Naris Singwancha said the honorable mention is China’s Baishanbo Nasiyiwula (12-0-1, 5 KOs).
Nasiyiwula previously captured the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super lightweight title via a unanimous decision against Taisho Ozawa (21-9-2) last May 7 at the Shan Xi Normal University Stadium in Xi An, China.
Nasiyuwula also took the vacant WBA International super lightweight crown also by a UD win over Leki Maka (9-0-0) of ZheJiang University Stadium in Hangzhou, China.
