Residual reverberations, rumblings and aftershocks following the superb super flyweight WBC title fight in which Thai Srisaket Sor Rungvisai defeated Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez by a majority decision to dethrone him at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
Following on from 12 intense rounds of action, which included a surprise with “Chocolatito” visiting the canvass in the first round , Judges decreed the winner to BE Rungvisai on two cards 114-112 and 114-112, while a third saw a draw 113- 113. So Sor Rungvisai regains the WBC super flyweight title he lost against “Prince” Cuadras in 2014.
With this victory, Sor Rungvisai improved his record to 42-4-1, with 38 knockouts while González lost his undefeated record leaving his record at 46-1, with 38 knockouts.
