Tijuana, B.C, brought us a resounding success and an explosive card full of knockouts, via top prospects, who thrilled the Tijuana fans at the boxing gala “Rumble Night” presented by promoter BX Rumble, led by Christian Curiel.
The Gym Zona Norte boxer, Sebastián “Logan” Hernández, was the first to get the KO, thus taking his sixth victory by defeating his rival from Mexico City in the second round.
In a war that ended in a standing ovation, José “Chapulín” Salas, from the Jackie Nava gym, defeated Alberto “Minion” Sotelo from Mexico City by KO in the fourth round.
He was followed by 18-year-old boxer Kevin “Gallo Negro” Crespo, who managed to defeat Joel Alberto “Wenjo” Mora of Tecate, B.C., in the second round with a rapid firepower combination of punches.
Another fascinating fight starred young 17-year-old boxer Johansen Álvarez, Saúl “Canelo´” Álvarez’s nephew, who on behalf of the dynasty triumphed by getting his second professional victory with a powerful hook in the first round over Owen Rodríguez.
“The last name does not fight for me, I fight, I train, my discipline, effort, and talent will show what I’m made of,” said Johan.
In his corner, Chepo Reynoso, one of the great boxing legends and creator of great boxers, accompanied by Johan`s father Gonzalo Álvarez and Marcelo López.
From the Julián Magdaleno gym, Óscar Hernández from Guadalajara surprised his rival with his powerful punches in his second professional fight to take the victory by KO.
The main fight was starred Venezuelan Endry Saavedra, who defeated Edgar Leonardo Romero from Guadalajara, Jalisco, via TKO in the eighth and final round.
This memorable and spectacular event was attended by “Aztec Princess” Jackie Nava and the current WBC super-bantamweight champion Yamileth Mercado, who enjoyed the boxing quality of these enticing top prospects, who providing the icing.
